Joyful Heart

I had such a wonderful weekend with three of my favorite people. My mama, and two sisters. Friday night, when we got to Atlanta we went straight to eat at a Mexican restaurant called Nuevo Laredo. The wait was 1 1/2 hours, but well worth it! The LaHood girls love to eat, and an hour and a half will not stop us from eating a delicious meal of 8 baskets of chips and salsa, cheese dip, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos, and whatever else looked good to our hungry eyes after waiting to eat! I. Love. Mexican. Food. We celebrated Sally's 32nd birthday with sopapillas! Yummmmmy!

This is Sally being silly after laughing hysterically at mama and Crystal!

Here we are with my cousin Hanna after brunch at Einsteins. We had french toast, omelets, and pancakes! Like I said before, we like to eat.

Here we are with my cousin Eli. We went to the Variety Playhouse to see his band and their show Saturday night. He is the producer for Outformation. It is different music than I usually listen to, but it was so good to see him, and see him doing what he loves to do!

We ended the weekend at First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Wow! What a church. As we were walking up, my mama said, "Somebody has gotten a hold of God". What a gorgeous, and BIG church. We were greeted and embraced by several people as if we had been members for years! It was so obvious that these people were there to worship our God, not just for a concert! They were hosting cd and dvd recording for Travis Cottrell. Beth Moore was also a guest. Yall, it was powerful! The anointing of the Holy Spirit was there! God has anointed Travis and his praise team with a gift of authentic worship. Such a sweet time to praise our Creator with my family!

I will close with a picture of me and my mama laughing our behinds off. We pretty much laughed all weekend, and it felt so good. We planned this trip for my mama at Christmas time. She lost her mother on Thanksgiving day. Mama Mama is what we called her, and the great grandchildren called her Great Mama. She was a wonderful woman, and taught all of us so much about life, love, and how to be a lady! We wanted to ease my mama's grief and just have fun this weekend. It was just that! These three woman are so important to me, I was am grateful for who they are to me, and how they all challenge me to be the best I can be

Isaiah 51:11

"The ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away."

Proverbs 15:13a

"A happy heart makes the face cheerful"
