Mother's Day Weekend with the LaHood's

This is a little late, but I wanted to recap the weekend that we had with our families.  Saturday we spent the afternoon at the lakes with my parents, Sally and Trav, John and Crystal, and Matt and Val, and all the children.  The children had a great time riding in the boat, swimming, jumping off the dock, and tubing.  We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and all the fixings that goes with them.  Val brought a delicious dip that needed to be cooked in the oven, but the oven was broken.  We drove down a couple of houses to the Hutchinson's lake house and borrowed their oven!  Thank goodness for friends!

I'm not sure what they were talking about.  They both had the same confused look on their faces!
George could not be left out of all the fun even though he still has to wear his splint.  The solution, wrap it up with a plastic toilet paper bag and tape it off with some duck tape!
Trav asked Sophie if she wanted to ride in the boat and she shook her head no.  She immediately whispered in Mabry's ear, "Daddy, I want to ride in the boat."  She is so cautious and shy, but does not want to be left out of the fun either!
Before long she found herself in the tube with Mabry!  Mabry told me that as soon as she got in the tube with him she started crying for me, but then they started going and she loved it.  Brave girl!
Mimi and Giddy with all ELEVEN of their grandchildren!

Beautiful sunset with her Giddy!
Daddy did a little "engagement picture session" with Matt and Val!

This is how we had to take her away from the fun day at the lakes. Kicking and screaming!

Sunday morning we went to church with everybody at Fellowship Home and ate lunch outside in the courtyard.  It was a wonderful time with everybody!!
