In The Kitchen: Strawberry Jello Cake

I will not be home for supper tonight, because I have a sewing class from 6-9.  Mabry is cooking hamburgers for supper, and I wanted to have a sweet treat waiting for him in the refrigerator while I am off
sewing my little heart out♥

Maddie is teething like crazy and those little suckers won't cut through her gums for anything!  As a result, she is not napping well at all.  She rolled around her bed and cried/talked for about an hour before drifting off to sleep.  Poor baby!  While she napped a little later than normal, Sophie and I baked a cake.

This is one of my favorite desserts, and is so very simple.  All you need is a box cake mix, a box of strawberry jello, and cool whip.
Bake the cake following the instructions on the box.  I bake it in a 9x13.  While the cake is baking, dissolve the strawberry jello in the amount of water the box calls for.  When the cake is done baking, remove from the oven and poke holes all over the top of the cake with a straw or a knife.  Pour the dissolved jello over the entire cake.  Put in the refrigerator and chill.  Once the cake is cooled, top the whole cake with cool whip.

Mabry and and the girls will be happy campers while I am away tonight, and I'm sure I will find my fork in there tonight when I get home!!
