Mountain Fun

The girls and I drove up to NC with Sally and her youngest two for the weekend.  Mama and daddy have been there for the whole month of October, and we decided to join them.  Mimi started the weekend off with a bang!  Cupcakes for everybody!  Henry, Sophie, and Maddie all have November birthdays.

Saturday afternoon we went downtown for the fall festival and trick or treating.  Have you ever seen a pig this cute?

This little piggy went to the market!

Do you see the look on Mary Rebecca's face?  A man and his little girl walked passed her and were trying to figure out what she was.  And he said, "She's a dirty rat!".  Poor Mary, she was an opossum.  What on earth was he thinking when he called a  little girl a dirty rat?!  We all got a good laugh, except for Mary-it hurt her feelings.

This lion has courage!  I love this costume.  Mama made it for John when he was a little boy.  It has been passed down for more than thirty years.

Now, I know that man would not call this gorgeous girl a dirty rat!

Daddy had a fire going at all times!  I can't think of a better way to start the day off than a warm fire overlooking the mountains, and Mimi's pancakes.
